Worried About Your Gut Health?
The GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) is unique in the field of comprehensive stool testing. It relies exclusively on quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to detect parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more, by targeting the specific DNA of the organisms tested.
Almost every client can benefit from a GI-MAP gut health assessment. Some clients are looking to achieve optimal health, while other clients have been chronically ill and frustrated without a diagnosis for years.
Some conditions that warrant testing are:
-
Autoimmune diseases
-
IBS/IBD
-
Digestive complaints, diarrhea or constipation
-
Brain fog
-
Skin problems, like acne and psoriasis
-
Mood disorders, depression, and anxiety
-
Diabetes and weight loss issues
FOLATE
Folate is needed for cell proliferation, tissue growth and cognitive development during fetal growth and is vital for the prevention of neural tube defects
IODINE
Iodine plays an important role in mental health. Iodine provided by the thyroid hormone ensures
the energy metabolism of the cerebral cells.
B - COMPLEX
B - Complex, including all B vitamins, is known to modulate cognitive performance and enhance the effectiveness of antidepressant medication.
OMEGA - 3
Omega 3's are essential to the structure and cognitive function of the brain. Deficiency, DHA in particular, can accelerate cerebral aging by preventing the renewal of membranes, exacerbating depression symptoms.
ZINC
Zinc participates in taste perception. Oral zinc can influence the effectiveness of antidepressant therapy. Zinc also
protects the brain cells against the potential damage caused by free radicals.
